About

I’m Kyle. I get paid for being an engineer, but I don’t believe that a person’s worth is tied to their occupation and that each person is a complete whole with interests, hobbies, experiences, quirks, flaws, and traits; this belief is irrelevant to what someone’s job title is. As for me, I do indeed like programming, but I also enjoy fitness, blacksmithing, martial arts, shooting, reading, guitar, singing, politics, games, art, and so many other things. I have a wonderful group of friends, I’m satisfied with where I live, and I try to learn new things every day, no matter how small. I love talking about my experiences, and even more, I love learning about other peoples’ experiences.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to just talk to people. At school, I would talk to everyone around me because I loved sharing and seeing what others had to say, and making friends always seemed to come pretty easily to me. I also love to learn. I wasn’t always the best academic, but that never stopped me from going out and doing things or challenging myself to learn something new. When I was a kid, I used to like to take toys apart and see how they worked on the inside. As I got older, I participated in robotics competitions, or tried to make video games, or tried to learn new languages.

Fast forward to today and that really hasn’t changed much! Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that I’m working on a hobby or project, chatting with friends, going out somewhere, etc. I believe that connecting with your community and constantly learning new things are some of the most important things a single person can involve themselves in. This blog is one of my many fun little projects that I’m working on!

But why start a blog? In 2026? Wasn’t the prime time to blog back in like, the 2000’s? Isn’t everyone just making TikToks these days? Well, yeah, probably. How people use the internet in this day and age is vastly different than how people used the internet back in the 2000’s. But to be honest, blogging is more to me than that. For me, blogging is about keeping my mind sharp, sharing my thoughts (because the world definitely doesn’t have enough opinions from a white guy), and fighting against the existential brainrot that has been slowly consuming the American public over the past few decades.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good short-form video, Tweet, or shitpost. I used to trawl the depths of random websites (back when “surfing the web” truly meant going on to discover random websites) starting with my preferred search engine, Yahoo, on anything I could think of and just… explore. I’ve been on YouTube since the days of Leave Brittney Alone, Charlie the Unicorn, and Nigahiga. I had my MySpace “top friends” and I participated in the “poke wars” of Facebook. I was there when Twitter increased the tweet number to 280, when Elon took over, and when Oceangate happened. I was there when Tiktok reviews influenced Chipotle to put more food in their bowls. And these days, of all my friends who have hit the over-30 mark, I’m very much the most chronically online of them all and am familiar with most internet trends.

I’m Kyle

There are a bunch of words to describe me, but a few of them are: engineer, musician, athlete, blacksmith, gamer, artist, and lifelong learner. Occasionally I like to write because it keeps my mind sharp. Feel free to share what you think as well! I love a good open discussion. Thanks for stopping by!
